Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaners
How To Use Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaners
One of the more important cleaning equipment used today is the vacuum cleaner. It is used in households, offices and buildings to suction dust, dirt, debris and in some cases, some fairly large and heavy objects. A vacuum cleaner's suction power is caused by a variation in the air pressure. The pressure inside the tube of a vacuum cleaner is reduced by a pump and atmospheric pressure then pushes the air through the surface of the area you are cleaning and into the tube. Hence, the debris is pushed into the bin or bag. There are a few classifications of the vacuum cleaners of today and one of these is bagged or bagless uprights. Uprights are best for households that have a lot of carpeted areas. For the bagged kind of an upright vacuum cleaner, you will need to buy bags, of course, while for bagless vacuum cleaners you will only need to empty the built-in bin. The obvious advantage of the latter from the former is that you will never need to buy bags anymore (hence, reducing the costs of household cleaning materials) and that you will never need to come in contact with the debris. Usually, bagless upright vacuum cleaners have a single button for you to push and the debris comes right out. Buyers of the bagged kind, though, think that it is still a good choice since the filters used by bagless upright vacuum cleaners need to be cleaned periodically anyway. Also, unless the manufacturer guarantees a lifetime washable filter, chances are you may still need to replace it.
For bagged upright vacuum cleaners, you might also need to periodically and manually remove stuck up hair, strings and threads from the brushroll, located underneath the unit. The filter may also need to be checked and there may be a need to replace it every now and then. There may also be clogged areas in your vacuum cleaner that you would need to clean very well. For bagless upright vacuum cleaners, on the other hand, the filters would just need cleaning. If you have plans of buying an upright vacuum cleaner anytime soon, you should consider the advantages and disadvantages, the maintenance requirements, the ease of use and the accessories and parts that may readily become available should the need arise. Some upright vacuum cleaners now have extra accessories such as mini turbine heads, soft bristle brushes, wands and other tools that would come in handy while cleaning not only the floor but awkward spaces and gaps and hard to reach areas as well. If you also have allergies, get a vacuum cleaner that uses or recommends a HEPA filter. Also, do not hesitate to go online and check for the opinions of users who either have bagged or bagless upright vacuum cleaners. You may also go to your local hardware store and ask a specialist for valuable advice. |
